No Rust, No Scaling: Corrosion Resistance Advantage of PVC & CPVC Pipe Fittings

2026-10-15 0 Leave me a message

Metal piping suffers from rust, pitting and scaling when transporting water, acid, alkali and chlorine-containing fluids. Corrosion will gradually reduce pipe wall thickness, cause leakage and raise expensive maintenance costs. This is why more engineering projects switch to rigid PVC and CPVC piping systems.

PVC (UPVC) and CPVC thermoplastic materials are chemically inert. They will not react with most inorganic acids, alkalis, salt solutions and chlorine water.

UPVC / PVC SCH80: Excellent corrosion resistance under max 60℃, widely used for cold corrosive fluid, wastewater and water treatment dosing lines.

CPVC SCH80: Retains great chemical resistance even at high temperature up to 93℃. It is the ideal choice for hot corrosive liquid delivery.

Unlike steel, copper or iron pipes, PVC & CPVC fittings never rust, form scale or corrode. Their smooth inner wall prevents sediment buildup, keeps stable flow rate and reduces long-term operation cost.

Our PVC and CPVC products are manufactured per ASTM standards. We supply full range SCH40/SCH80 fittings for water treatment and light chemical projects.
